April, 2020

This week’s small group worship service focused on Change.

Worship Notes

Revelation – This has to come by faith.
Reflection – Think about your past but do not live in it.
  • Reflection allows for adjustment so that our character will be one that has been changed for the better. (Repetition).
  • It is taking stock (Meditation).
  • Postmortem- Autopsy… To determine the cause. Give space for repentance.
  • In reflecting, we will find that nothing we do is wasted; we will see the marvelous works of His hand and see the awesomeness of God.
  • The divine nature of unity is for everyone to coexist together.
  • In reflection comes revelation which must me sought. In so doing you will find Him (God).
  • Surrender : Faith comes by hearing the word of God. If faith cannot take you to revelation, then you will not get there.

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is”. (KJV)

This verse means that we don’t yet know what we will be. That revelation will occur when He comes.

  • Repentance – comes through revelation and reflection. It brings Salvation…In other words “new creatureness” brings newness or change.
  • Mercies of God are new every morning. Let us not fool ourselves; let us be ready to embrace change.
  • When we receive that great grace we have the knowledge of what we need or what we bring to give.
  • Repentance has to be a lifestyle because change is inevitable.

Lamentations 3:22-23

“It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness”. (KJV)

  • Repent so that the time of refreshing will come.
  • Our lives must be a living testimony.

New wine in old wine skins … God does not want to destroy us; He wants us to be renewed so that we can receive.

Matthew 9:17

“Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” (NKJV)
