Missionary Visits

Recently, YMM was privileged to be visited by two missionary groups from the United States.

The United Methodist Church in New Stanton, Pennsylvania

The first group, from The United Methodist Church in New Stanton, Pennsylvania, were in the island from June 14-21. They hosted lively, inspirational Bible Club Programs for our youth, participated in our regular Saturday Mentoring Ministry, and were our special guests for our Sunday worship service that week.

Willoughby Hills Friends Church near Cleveland, Ohio

The second team, from the Willoughby Hills Friends Church near Cleveland, Ohio, visited from June 21-28, and they assisted us with initiating the construction of the new building which will eventually become our new Mentoring Centre.  The group also hosted a wonderful fun day for our youth, and took part in our worship service on Sunday.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to both groups for their contributions to our ministry. Your kindness has made a large impact on our organization by assisting us in reaching a highly anticipated rung in our development. Additionally, and most importantly, our youth have witnessed your earthly demonstration of Christ’s love, and we feel confident that your kindness will have a significant impact on them and on the growth of their individual relationships with the Lord.

Finally, a very big Jamaican “THANK YOU” to Pastor Goode, who has been instrumental in coordinating both of these mission trips, and in arranging for the commencement of our building project.
