YMM’s Christmas Food and Donation Drive & Care Package Programme

Donation Drive December 11th-19th

Please Assist Us In Helping Needy Families in our Community!

December, 2020

From December 11th through December 19th, 2020, Youth Mentoring Ministry will be conducting a Christmas Food and Donation Drive to support our new Christmas Care Package Program. Each year, since the Ministry’s inception in 2015,  we have hosted a Christmas treat for the underprivileged children in our Mentoring programme and have also opened this event up to all needy children and families in nearby communities. This year, however, due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions, we were challenged to find an alternative way to assist these children and their families who look forward to, and have come to depend upon, this annual treat. It was at that point that the concept of creating care packages containing basic provisions and a small gift was formulated. These packages will then be distributed to the children and their families on a rotational basis in keeping with our local Covid 19 gathering guidelines. In order to make this endeavour possible, we have begun a food and donation drive to seek the public’s help in accomplishing this goal.

Donation Boxes have been positioned throughout the parish of St. Ann in various supermarkets and retail establishments, and monetary donations may also be made by contacting any of the following numbers:

(876) 381 8952, (876) 784 9010, (876) 451 3647

Should you have items to donate that you would like to be picked up, you may also contact the above numbers.

All donations of non-perishable food and/or household items as well as new or gently used toys and children’s gift items will be gratefully accepted.

We pray that the Lord will place it on your heart to assist us in making this mission a reality for our community’s needy children and their families!
