YMM’s Christmas Food and Donation Drive Report

Thank you for Helping Us Reach Needy Families in our Community!

Christmas Care Package Ceremony

January, 2021

From December 11th through December 19th, 2020, Youth Mentoring Ministry  conducted a Christmas Food and Donation Drive to support our new Christmas Care Package Program. We are very pleased to report that this endeavour was a success, culminating on December 21st with a ceremony to present care packages to several children and their families. As a result of Covid-19 gathering restrictions, packages were disbursed to designated YMM youth representatives from various communities who in turn delivered the parcels to needy families within those respective communities.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of St. Ann, Dalas Dickenson, who gave the keynote speech.

Once again, we extend our gratitude to all the local businesses and individuals who graciously gave both monetary and in-kind donations. We are also most appreciative to Deputy Mayor Dickenson and the Mayor’s office for taking the time to participate in this event.

Thank you also to the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) for covering this event. To access the JIS article please click HERE to be taken to their website.
